Mr. Wright serves as Executive Vice President/Construction Manager for Riverworks, Inc. Mr. Wright joined the Riverworks team in 2007. He has been involved in a construction management and project estimating capacity for over 241,725 feet of stream and 1,800 acres of wetland work while working at Riverworks. Prior to coming to Riverworks, Mr. Wright served 6 years as construction manager of the Stream Restoration and Wetland Construction Program at another environmental restoration company. Mr. Wright serves as the primary project manager for Riverworks, and his responsibilities include planning and directing the functional activities of the company including marketing, technical project oversight, quality assurance, and general administration. He is also in charge of employee training and stream and wetland restoration construction.
Mr. Wright has more than 30 years experience in the construction, environmental, and soil and water conservation fields. This experience includes project estimating, management, equipment and material procurement; client relations and assistance; program development and marketing; and budget responsibility. Mr. Wright has an extensive background in site grading, utility installation, landfill construction, stream restoration and enhancement, wetland construction, pond construction, and BMP installation.
Mr. Wright holds a BS in Agronomy from North Carolina State University. He holds an Unclassified General Contractors License (Building, Highway, H (Excavation and Grading), PU (Water and Sewer Lines), and PU (Water Purification and Sewage Disposal)) in North Carolina and South Carolina, a West Virginia General Contractors License for Excavation, a Maryland Out-Of-State Contractors License, and a Virginia Class A General Contractors License for Highway/Heavy. Mr. Wright is certified as a Responsible Land Disturber for Erosion and Sediment Control for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has completed the River Restoration Design Implementation Course by Dave Rosgen of Wildland Hydrology. Mr. Wright has served his community in elective office as the Mayor of the Town of Pleasant Garden, a small town in Guilford County, North Carolina, for five years and was on the Town Council for six years. He is an active member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
